announces the release of HyperBac for Oracle - Solaris Edition, high
performance backup software for Oracle 9i and 10g on Solaris 9 and 10
Xceleon Technologies has officially released the Solaris version of HyperBac for
Oracle, to accompany the Windows and Linux versions of HyperBac. HyperBac for Oracle
incorporates high performance integrated compression and AES encryption technology
to compress and encrypt data as it is backed up via Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN),
Export (EXP) or other backup methods resulting in substantial disk and tape storage
cost savings as well as a significant reduction in backup times and an increase in
transaction throughput and performance during the backup process. The Solaris
edition of HyperBac for Oracle currently supports Solaris 9 and 10 on SPARC systems.
Xceleon Technologies is the vendor for HyperBac on Oracle software for the
Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms.
